आज प्रचलन अनुसार हनुमान जयन्ती मनाइँदै छ । हनुमान जयन्तीको तिथि कार्तिक कृष्ण चतुर्दशी र चैत्र शुक्ल पूर्णिमा दुवै दिनलाई मानिएको छ । धर्म शास्त्रमा मतैक्य नहुनाले चैत्र शुक्ल पूर्णिमाका दिन हनुमानजीको जन्म दिवस मनाउने त गरिन्छ, यद्यपी वायु पुराणादी–अनुसार कार्तिक महिनाको चतुर्दशीका दिन हनुमान जयन्ती अधिक प्रचिलित छ ।

त्यसको साथ साथै हनुमानको विवाह एवम् पुत्रको बारेमा पनि शास्त्रमा फरक फरक मत भेटिन्छ । परासर सम्हितामा उल्लेख भएअनुसार हनुमानले सूर्य पुत्री शुभर्चलासँग विहे गरेका थिए । सामान्यतयाः हामी कहाँ हनुमानको पूजा पाठ गर्ने एवम् मन्त्र स्त्रोत पाठ गर्ने र यसबाट शुभ फल मिल्ने, शनिग्रहको दोष नलाग्ने देखी भुतप्रेत पिचासले दुःख नदिने भन्नेसम्म जनविश्वास छ ।

त्यस्तै हनुमान एवम् उनको पत्नीको दर्शन, पूजा गरेमा वैवाहिक सुख मिल्ने र पती पत्नी बीचको कलह हट्ने जानेछ भन्ने पनि शास्त्रमा पाईन्छ । दक्षिण भारतमा हनुमान एवम पत्नी शुभर्चलाको प्राचिन मान्दिर छ । जहाँ टाढा टाढाबाट भक्तजनहरु जाने गर्दछ ।

नेपालमा पनि हनुमानको मन्दिर र मुर्ती मल्लकालदेखि नै भेटिन्छ । मल्लकालमा हनुमानको ठूलो महत्व थियो भन्ने कुरा प्रताप मल्ल, सिद्धिनरसिंह मल्ल र श्रीनिवास मल्लले ‘हनुमदध्वज’ उपाधि लिएबाट थाहा पाइन्छ । यसरी मल्लकालमा विशेषगरी जगज्योति मल्लको पालादेखि हनुमान सम्प्रदायको व्यापकरूपमा विकास भएको थियो । उपत्यकामा मात्र हनुमानको महत्व नभई बाहिरका राज्यमा समेत हनुमान सम्प्रदायको लोकप्रियता थियो भन्ने कुरा गोरखाका राजा पृथ्वीपति शाहले आफ्नो दरबार नजिक हनुमानको मूर्ति बनाउन लगाएबाट थाहा पाइन्छ ।

मल्लकालपछि शाहकालमा पनि हनुमान सम्प्रदायको झन् व्यापकरूपमा विकास भएको कुरा काठमाडौँ उपत्यका विभिन्न ठाउमा बनेका राम मन्दिर र हनुमानका मूर्तिले पुष्टि गरेका छन् । मल्लकालमा जस्तै यसकालमा पनि हनुमानका मूर्तिहरूको पूजा गर्ने हेतु उही थियो र यसकालमा हनुमानलाई शुक्रबाट रक्षा गर्न स्थापना गर्नको साथै सङ्कटमोचकको रूपमा समेत लिएको देखिन्छ । साथै यिनैलाई कष्टमोचक सिद्धिदाताका रूपमा पनि पूजा गर्न थालियो ।

The growth of the hotel industry in Nepal began in 1955. Mr. Boris Lissanevitch started the Royal Hotel in February 1955 in order to have a glimpse of the growth of the hotel industry in nepal, it is not out of place here to quote Mr. George Lebre of Direction Generale du Tourisme, Paris who had been sent to Nepal as an advisor under the Bilateral Co-operation Programme of the French Ministry of Foreign affairs in 1958 -59. Establishment of the World Tourism Organisation

The United Nations Economic and socal Council 47 th session, geneva-july 1969 examined the result of the Sofia Conference and requested the UN Secretary the result of the Sofia to the UN General Assebbly. The Economic and social Council proposed to the XXIV th United Nations General Assembly. It also recommended to member -states of IUOTO to act jointly at the following Extraordinary General Assembly of the organisation to modify the statues of IUOTO in order to give it an inter-governmental character.

Historical Outline on tourism in Nepal

Since ancient times, people have liked to change their abode temporarily and it is true that temporary human changes of abode have existed since the earliest times. There are many historical reference of fearless and brave persons who went on journeys, risking many kinds of danders.

People travelled due to three principle motives in ancient times: interest, curiosity or religious sentiment.

Three United Nations Organisation and its Specialised Agencies

The Tourism falls within the competence of the Economic and Social Council ECOSOC of the United Natitions Organisations. Since 1946, the council has created a commission on Transport and Communications which, among other matters, has been responsible for dealing with questions of travel and international Tourism. The council initiated the U.N. Conference on International  Travel and Tourism at Rome in 1963. The Regional Economic Commissions of ECOSOC also deal with international tourism. Similarly, a UN organ, the United Nations Conference On Trade and Developement UNCTAD deals with international tourism, thinking it as an important factor in international economic relations, and as a growth factor for the developing countries.

The Classification of International Tourism Organisations

The classification of International Tourism Organisation can be made in two ways:

  1. Inter-governmental Organisations. There are organisations formed by the states and these are inter state organisations as the states are represented by delegates apponted by the governments, the organisations are known as Inter-government. The world Tourism Organisation is a inter governmental Tourism organisation.
  2. Non-governmental organisations: There are for more numerous, ad may be founded either by moral presonalities national non-profit making organisations or associations national professional unions or associations or by bodies. They are not governed by any international low but are subject to the low of the state in which their headquater, are located. There organisations have no privilged status either for themselves or for their officials. BUt some of the non-government organisations may be called upon to collaborate with the United Nations Organisation or the other inter- governmental organisations may be called upon to collaborate with the United Nations Organisation or the other inter governmental oranisations if they have a consultative status. The international TOurism alliance, the world tourism and automobile Association; the interational federation of Workers. Travel Association; the international Union of the Conservation of Nature and Resources are now non governmental Tourist Organisations and are granted consultative status by the UN Economic and Social Council ECOSOC or the compentent organs of other inter governmental organisations.
