Shukla Phanta Jungle Sufari

Shukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve is protected area in the far western region of Nepal, covers an area of. 305 sq km and ranges in altitude from 90-270 m. It is one of the reserved areas in lowland area of Terai region. Suklaphata is the perfect destination for jungle safari. Around two-third of the reserve holds forest and the rest spreads as grassland. Long time ago the region was famous among royal families for hunting. Currently there are 46 mammal species identified in the reserve and 18 of them are protected under CITES. These protected species includes the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, sloth bear, swamp deer, elephant, hispid hare etc. Sometime ago few one horned rhinos were also taken to Shukla Phanta Wildlife reserve. The reserve is also home for more than 400 types of birds like Bengal Floricans, Swamp Francolin, Jerdon’s Bushchat, Rufous-rumped Grassbird, Chestnut-capped Babbler, Sarus crane, grass owl, warbles, Jerdon’s Babbler. Sukla phanta wildlife reserve is the pristine sub-tropical jungle makes Shuklaphanta Nepal’s second largest wildlife reserve in plain region.

Parsa wildlife reserve was established in 1984 and covers the area of 499 sq.km. It is located to the east of the Royal Chitwan National Park of Nepal. Parsa Wildlife Reserve Safari is a rare opportunity to experience the nature and culture of Nepal’s Terai, Spread over parts of Chitwan, Makawanpur, Parsa and Bara districts, a considerable part of the Churia Hills of Central Nepal. Snakes found are cobras, kraits and pythons. Bardia is more isolated and more natural for the visitors.Bardiya National Park is a protected area in Nepal that was established in 1988 as Royal Bardia National Park. Covering an area of 968 km (374 sq mi) it is the largest and most undisturbed wilderness area in Nepal’s Terai, adjoining the eastern bank of the Karnali River in the Bardiya District.It is situated in the mid-far Western region. The park, a sub-tropical jungle, is thickly forested by sal trees and carpeted with grass, and river in vegetation.There are a wide variety of jungle activities available in the parks. Elephant rides are the best way to explore the jungle and search for wildlife. Jeep safaris are also available for those who don’t feel like riding an elephant. Bardiya national park has the greatest number of deer species. The main deer species in the park includes: Chital (spotted deer); Hog Deer; Sambar; Swamp Deer (Barasingha); and the reddish-colored Barking-Deer.The big mammals in the park are: Gaur, the world’s largest wild oxen; Wild Boar; the Agile Sloth Bear; Blue Bull (Nilgai), Himalayan Tahr, langur,civets, hyenas. The two goat-antelope members also found in the park.you can also visit many endangered species such as Rhinoceros, Wild elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger, Genetic dolphin,Marsh mugger crocodile,black buck etc.The unique birds species include cormorants, egret, storks, geese, jungle fowls, king-fishers, Bengal florican, silver-eared mesia and the saurus crane etc.The best times to visit are between October and early April when weather is warm and dry.
