Dudh Kunda Trek

Dudh Kunda trek is one of the famous trekking Route in solukhumbu District.Dudhkunda Trek is situated in Everest Region even lots of people are unknown about this trek. Dudh Kunda lake (milky water lake) is situated at the foot of Numbur mountain, locally known as Shorong Yul Lha, “Protector of Solu”.The devotees believe that taking a dip into the icy cold Dudh Kunda Lake will free them from all their sins and bless childless families with children. Amazing views of flora and fauna, experience of diverse cultures of Sherpas, Khaling Rais, Tamangs, Magars, Gurungs, make this journey a lifetime experience and achievement. Dudhkunda Trekking route starts from Jiri all the way to the Everest Base Camp. We basically follow the Jiri – Lukla old route before heading to a completely new region through forested ridges and sparsely inhabited area. we trek through high pastures, pine, forests alive with wild animals & birds such as Mountain Thars, Bears, Leopard, Jackal, pheasant up to Dudh Kunda also called Milky lake in English, rhododendron forests area which does not have any permanent settlement. Walking upstream the Beni Khola we reach Dudh Kunda and keep one day for exploring around. Dudh Kunda which is the final destination of our trek where we can view the amazing lake. From the lake vicinity you can enjoy panoramic views of the Everest Himalaya range.

Day 06: Trek to Saharsabeni [3340M / 10,958FT]
