Lhasa to Kathmandu overland route is a world famous classic tourist route attracting numerous tourists to go through the road from Lhasa to Kathmandu each year.This is one of popular trips in Tibet which offers most of the attractions of Tibet. In the spiritual capital of Lhasa, there is sufficient time to explore the former home of the Dalai Lama, Potala Palace, Tibet’s world famous glorious landmark with over 1,000 rooms and 10,000 shrines. There is also Jokhang, Tibet’s holiest temple with its priceless statues and frescoes, and the Norbulinka, or Summer Place, from which the present Dalai Lama fled in 1959. Shoppers mustn’t miss the Barkhor the busy bazaar of old Lhasa which is right on the pilgrim’s route around Jokhang.

During back to Kathmandu from Lhasa in a mountain flight you can view the mighty Himalayas closely.This trip usually takes 6-7 days, staying 2-3 days in Lhasa before you leave to Kathmandu.
