Parsa wildlife reserve was established in 1984 and covers the area of 499 sq.km. It is located to the east of the Royal Chitwan National Park of Nepal. Parsa Wildlife Reserve Safari is a rare opportunity to experience the nature and culture of Nepal’s Terai, Spread over parts of Chitwan, Makawanpur, Parsa and Bara districts, a considerable part of the Churia Hills of Central Nepal. The vegetation is tropical and sub tropical mostly covered with Sal forests,While the hills are covered by Chir Pine, Sissoosilk cotton, and Khair, and grasslands making up the rest. it is home to over 300 species of birds like lesser, black stork,White stork, peafowl, red jungle fowl, egrets, herons, kingfishers, flycatchers , woodpeckers florican, giant horn bill and the Bengal florican. Snakes found are cobras, kraits and pythons. During tour trip you can observe the tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Wild Dogs (dhole), Blue Bull (nilgai), Hog Beer ,rhesus macaques, striped hyena, jungle cat, palm civet and Barking Deer in these low plain regions.
