Revenue collection up

The Ministry of Finance said Wednesday that revenue of Rs 114.88 billion, some Rs 8 billion more than the target, was collected till the first four months of the current fiscal year 2014/2015.

The ministry had targeted collecting Rs 106.62 billion in revenue during the period.

The collection is 21.8 percent more that what was collected in the same period in Fiscal Year 2013/14.

Of the total amount, Rs 103 was tax revenue and the remaining Rs 11.86 billion non-tax revenue, the ministry’s spokesperson Krishna Prasad Devkota said.

The government has targeted collecting Rs 422.9 billion in revenue in the current fiscal year. KATHMANDU, December 11, 2014 (RSS)
