Tara Air Twin Otter crashes

Kathmandu: Tara Air aircraft 9N-AHH crashed at Tirkhe Dhunga, Dana VDC of Myagdi district of western Nepal today killing all 23 people on board today.

The aircraft, which took off from Pokhara on its scheduled flight number TA 193 to Jomsom at 7.50am, was found crashed at Tirkhe Dhunga, Dana VDC of Myagdi district according to Tara Air.

The 9N-AHH Twin Otter with 20 passengers and three crew members on board vanished early in the morning en-route Pokhara-Jomsom. The plane took off from Pokhara Airport at 7:50 am and lost control with Pokhara Air Traffic Control after 10 minutes of takeoff.

Rescuers have collected 19 charred bodies of the people from the Soli Ghoptebhir area of Dana VDC-2 of Myagdi district in western Nepal.

According to Tara Air, Ralrashed AA Ahamad from Kuwait ,Miss Mak Siu Ying from China ,Rebati Baral , Muktinath Bastola ,Krishnalal Bhattachan ,Devi Jang Gurung,Fhenjhok Gurung ,Laxmi Hirachan, Moti B. KC ,Balkrishna Niure , Kancha Paryer , Rajkumar Tamang , Binata Bhattachan ,Dilkumari Gauchan ,Pabitra KC , Lebsang Lama ,Dolma Tshiring Sherpa ,Kamala Thakali and two minors were on board.

The cabin crew members were identified as Captain Roshan Manandhar, co-pilot Dikesh Nemkul and air hostess Rama Rawat.
