Yala Peak Climbing

This peak is situated north of Kathmandu in Langtang area. This peak does not require mountaineering experience. Climbing Yala Peak (5732m) and trek through Langtang is one of the easiest, romantic, wonderful and adventurous climbing peak and trek in Nepal. Prior climbing experience is not required though, previous outdoor experience and average level of fitness is recommended. We start in Syabrubesi after a 5 hour drive from Kathmandu. From farmland of Dhunche our trek commences up the valley passing through the pristine forest of Rhododendron blooming from pink to red, conifer, towering grass bamboos, oaks and pines, narrow Georges of Langtang river ascending up the beautiful Langtang valley up to the vast alpine grassland of Kyangjing Gompa (3,900 m.) which is situated below Langtang Lirung (7,246m). we spend three days acclimatizing taking day-hikes in spectacular surroundings. Kyanjim Gompa is very interesting place in itself. It is a nice surprise to see a Cheese factory, established in1955 by the Swiss Association for Technical Assistance in Kyanjim Gompa. Climbing Yala Peak and do the Langtang Trek, gives you several opportunities to visit Buddhist monasteries around and gives you a sense of the Tibetan Buddhist culture and historical phenomena. Yala peak climbing offers superb Himalayan views including the Lantang Lirung, Dorje lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Naya kanga peak, gangchempo, Shishapangma.White snow capped mountains, monastery in Kyanjin Gomba and towering waterfalls in the hard rockes will make your trip delightful.
